Droids visit The Buckley School, Sherman Oaks

We brought R2-D2 and BB-8 to visit the first grade students and upper school robotics team members at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks. We gave a STEM presentation on how the droids were built and how they're used in the community. The younger students asked funny questions like if the droids could fly and what are their favorite colors. The robotics students were more interested in details like what materials were used in their construction. We were joined by Michael McMaster and his WALL-E, and Gordon Tarpley and his C-3PO. Here's a write-up about the visit on their school website.
