On May 27, 2023, we hosted our 17th annual R2LA, a gathering of droid builders. It was the 20th anniversary of the first event in 2003. A widely shared emotion was how happy people were to socialize with this group again after pandemic.
Fun R2LA-17 stats: 150 people, 63 droids. While the majority were from Southern CA, the farthest travelers were two people from Germany, followed by FL, MD, TX, UT, ID, AZ, NV, Bay Area, Sacramento & San Diego.
So thankful to our kids for being such amazing helpers from early morning set up, to late night clean up, and everything in between. And to so many amazing guests who pitched in as well. We’re blessed to be a part of such a gracious group of creative people.
