R2-KT Visit

After the Celebration IV convention in LA, Albin Johnson's R2-KT droid came to visit our R2-D2 and R5-DD droids until KT went to Comic Con in San Diego in July. KT was built in memory of Albin's daughter Katie, who died of brain cancer at age 7 in 2005. Albin takes it to charity events near his home in the Southeastern US to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. During the visit, Michael did some needed repairs to KT to prepare it for its convention appearances with Lucasfilm & Hasbro. A few years ago as part of a group of R2 Builders, Michael had helped create KT for Albin. Michael assembled the "skins," which are the aluminum outer body coverings.
