LA County USC hospital visit

We recently visited a special little friend in the pediatrics ward at LA County USC Hospital, whom we had visited previously at CHOC. R2 brought smiles to lots of faces--patients, staff and visitors alike.

UC Irvine NICU Reunion

Our daughter Justine brought R2 to the UC Irvine NICU Reunion event. She was joined by super heroes taking photos with lots of families and kids who started their lives off in the NICU. Always an honor to be a part of these charity events.

Droids visit The Buckley School, Sherman Oaks

We brought R2-D2 and BB-8 to visit the first grade students and upper school robotics team members at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks. We gave a STEM presentation on how the droids were built and how they're used in the community. The younger students asked funny questions like if the droids could fly and what are their favorite colors. The robotics students were more interested in details like what materials were used in their construction. We were joined by Michael McMaster and his WALL-E, and Gordon Tarpley and his C-3PO. Here's a write-up about the visit on their school website.
